Change is a constant and inescapable force in all of our lives.
By Paula Rashio and Nicholas Oddy
The very nature of change is what leads us into our future: full of hopes, aspirations and unfulfilled destinies. Change can also be a force that tears us away from the present day, and the comforts and certainties that many of us cling to. Some people become powerless in the face of change and the unfortunate hand it has dealt them. Other people see inherent opportunities in change and recognise their own power in influencing the outcomes they and others desire.
A hallmark of many successful organisations is their ability to effectively lead and manage change. Positive change experiences typically result in both engaged and motivated staff as well as the achievement of key business objectives. As our world and organisations become fasterpaced, more complex and increasingly uncertain the need to effectively manage change is becoming more important.
This whitepaper examines change through both an organisational and individual lens. It seeks to address both the human and technical elements of change and provides the reader with mechanisms to better understand and manage the changes they are experiencing.
